For William Dorney, 1999-2000, the focus of this Columbian year was on personal spiritual development through our many acts of charity. The council emphasized developing a personal relationship with God through daily prayer, attending mass, reading scripture, and dedicating our lives to God. The meetings were highlighted by excellent talks by Rev. Mick Lambeth, Deacon Bill Wilson, and Deacon Andy Sabados. PKG Paul LaPlante was honored as the New Jersey State Knight of the Month for January for his extraordinary dedication and accomplishments. PKG Dan Rossi was honored with a dinner for his outstanding work as Faithful Navigator. PKG John Isaac hosted a Right to Life Baby Shower that celebrated life with several women that have chosen life. Vince Fairlie exemplified the spirit of the Knights of Columbus through his many hours of hard work and determination. The council joined the parish in celebrating Father Steve's Weekend in honor or our beloved chaplain. Unfortunately, there were also some sad events during the year. Msg. Joseph Ferrante passed away suddenly in September. Fr. Joe was our former pastor and a Brother Knight. He will be fondly remembered for all that he did for our council and parish. As the year concluded, the Brother Knights rededicated themselves to focusing on the presence of Jesus in their everyday lives, and being good and faithful servants in all their charitable activities.
