John Bavoso

John H. Bavoso (2011-2012) He served as our 31st Grand Knight. John’s goal was to have the council activities better documented through the development of “standard operating procedures” to help guide the council now and in the future. This council received the Columbian Award for Service Programs and began our new “40 Cans For Lent” activity. It also began its leadership role in the Parish Pic-Nic and reinstituted a reinvigorated “Children’s Christmas Party” which continues to grow each year. This Columbian Year the council was fortunate to recruit Fr. Jay Bowden as our new Chaplain after Monsignor Stan Klowkowski stepped down. Sadly, later that year Monsignor Stan passed away and the council officiated at his wake here at St. Greg’s. This year marked the beginning of the “Monsignor Stan Klowkowski Scholarship Award” to help students in need at SGG School and to honor our late Chaplains memory.
