Anthony Bilello (2002-2003) served as our 22nd Grand Knight. “Fraternity” was the theme for this Columbian year. Anthony initiated the first Past Grand Knight’s Luncheon that was attended by many charter members and a majority of the PGKs. The “Bears for Children” program, launched by Guy DeFazio, was introduced as a new community activity. The success of this program was featured in both the Columbian and Cavalcade magazines; the program involved the council donating stuffed bears to area police, fire & hospitals who in turn gave them to children who were either domestic violence or accident victims. The final event on the Columbian calendar was the first annual golf outing which made its’ debut on June 28th, 2003. The seed for the golf outing was planted by PGK Brother Jim Perrone. PGK Grand Knight John Isaac was installed as the Faithful Navigator of the 4th Degree Assembly. Also, The Father Michael J. McGivney Guild was created by Supreme during the Columbian year; its’ purpose is to promote the cause for canonization of our order’s founder.
